For the past seven years, Jewish Long Beach Men’s Philanthropy has been bringing people together from all over the community for Above and Beyond!  As we emerge from the COVID-19 restrictions, we are pleased to announce Above and Beyond 2021 will be held in person, hosted by Jewish Long Beach Men's Philanthropy, the Alpert New Leaders Forum, and our Lentzner Fellows!

This year’s event will be the culmination of our second annual 36 Hours of Jewish Long Beach and the Alpert JCC, a multimedia fundraising initiative and celebration of Jewish Long Beach's impact on our community. Your investment allows us to care for those in need, be committed to the survival of the Jewish people, invest in the future of our children, and sustain our Jewish community here in Long Beach and around the world.

We invite everyone to join us for an evening of fun, kosher tailgate fare (catered by L’Chaim Kosher Catering), and a chance to celebrate our community together in person. If you are not yet ready to join us in person, please email Melanie Edwards, and we will make arrangements to send you a link to the broadcast portion of the program.

Guest Speaker

From his pre-Bar Mitzvah stuttering days to exceeding all expectation and enjoying an eight-year career as an NFL offensive linemanafter being drafted 241st in the 2008 draft, Geoff Schwartz has overcome adversity to succeed in life. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA on July 11th, 1986, Geoff’s three decades have been characterized by hard work, mental toughness, a commitment to his Judaism and a passion to succeed, regardless of the bumps thrown in his way.

Along with his brother Mitchell, starting right tackle of the Kansas City Chiefs, Geoff co-authored Eat My Schwartz, a book chronicling their lives from early childhood to their tenure in the NFL, discussing NFL football, food, family and their faith.
